Community Comes Together at the Hockey de rue Tournament

Community Comes Together at the Hockey de rue Tournament

On May 27th, the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation and the YM-YWHA presented the seventh edition of the Hockey de rue – Together for the Kids street hockey tournament on Westbury Avenue – in front of the YM-YWHA. The event saw 32 teams and numerous sponsors raise $273,000 in benefit of underprivileged kids. The day included the participation of the Montreal Canadiens Alumni in a Legends game versus a spirited team from the YM-YWHA, with Max Pacioretty, Nicolas Deslauriers and Habs team mascot Youppi! cheering everyone on. Six youth teams from our BLEU BLANC BOUGE communities played in their own tournament.

Special thanks to principal sponsors Montoni and Banque Nationale, Co-Chairs Dario Montoni, Steve Stotland and Howard Wiseman, and the entire Hockey de rue Committee. See you on the street in 2019!
