Introduce ball hockey to your community

Ball hockey is an ideal way to teach young people the benefits of healthy living. Our BLEU BLANC BOUGE Ball Hockey program provides a full gamut of ball hockey equipment for groups of up to 20 players, aged 4 to 12, along with a cool guide to help you teach kids how to play hockey while having fun.

We will provide all the tools you’ll need to help kids develop ball hockey skills, self-esteem and healthy living habits.

If your project meets our criteria listed below, you will be eligible to make a request for our equipment, which includes the following items:

  • 20 right-handed 102-cm sticks
  • 10 left-handed 132-cm sticks
  • 4 left-handed 132-cm sticks
  • 2 right-handed 132-cm sticks
  • 2 122-cm goalie sticks
  • 30 high-density balls
  • 24 pairs of protective eyewear
  • 2 117-cm wide hockey nets
  • 2 sets of full goalie gear
  • 1 activity guide

If your project meets our criteria listed below, you will be eligible to make a request for our equipment, which includes the following items:

How to proceed

The following information is aimed at schools or organizations that wish to submit a request to use our ball hockey equipment as part of a project that supports healthy living among young people. Schools and organizations filing such a request must meet all of the conditions outlined and provide the necessary information when presenting their project to the Foundation.

The completed request for equipment form will allow the Foundation to determine if the proposed project meets the mandate of the Foundation.

The mandate of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation

The Foundation is determined to provide a better and healthier future for children in need throughout Quebec. By uniting the members of the great Canadiens family and by teaming up with the community, the Foundation encourages physical activity and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle among underprivileged youth from 4 to 17 years old.

Based on a preventive action strategy, the Foundation’s objectives are the following:

  • Encourage and support children to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle by being more active.

Eligibility

To be eligible, the project must be presented by:

1. A school in Quebec with a socio-economic index or low-income cut-off of 7, 8, 9 or 10.

2. A non-profit, private and registered organization that meets the following criteria can also be eligible:

  • Offers services and activities in the province of Quebec;
  • Demonstrates a healthy and continuous management;
  • Produces financial statements that conform to accounting norms recognized for all non-profit organizations;
  • Is governed by an established board of directors with clear internal and administrative regulations.

 

If your submission conforms to our eligibility policies, we will send the ball hockey equipment directly to the address listed in your submission during the month of September 2018 (limited quantities).
