More than $1 million raised by Desjardins Securities in support of the Foundation

For the past 24 years, Desjardins Securities has teamed up with the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation to make a difference in the lives of children across Quebec. 

As part of its 2025-26 fundraising campaign, wealth managers, their clients and the entire Desjardins Securities community once again came together to support the Foundation’s mission. Thanks to their generosity and various fundraising initiatives, including their annual Golf Tournament and “Today, We Work for the Kids” Day, during which investment advisors are invited to donate a portion of their commissions, a record-breaking $1,010,839 was raised in support of the Foundation. For the very first time, the campaign surpassed the $1 million mark, a milestone that speaks to the strength and long-standing commitment to supporting youth.

This outstanding result was unveiled on September 19 at the Bell Centre, ahead of the Montreal Canadiens’ first preseason game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, during a recognition event held to celebrate the commitment of everyone who contributed to the success of the latest campaign. Foundation spokespersons David Savard and his partner Valérie Lachance, along with several Canadiens alumni, were also in attendance. 

This significant contribution will allow the Foundation to continue its mission and create even more opportunities for children to get active, grow and thrive, notably through our Bleu Blanc Bouge programs offered in communities across Quebec.
