Discover, learn and have fun

Our introductory school-based programs allow elementary-aged children to explore different sports in an inclusive and safe environment. Whether they are stepping on the ice for the first time or building teamwork skills through ball hockey, each activity helps them develop new motor and social abilities while introducing them to the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle.

Introduction to ice skating

Learn to skate, one stride at a time

Offered to 1st- and 2nd-grade students on each of our 15 Bleu Blanc Bouge rinks, the introductory skating program guides children through their first steps on the ice. Under the guidance of our experienced coaches, they gain confidence while developing their balance, coordination, and ease on the ice.

Focused on learning, fun, and discovery, these clinics create a positive first contact with ice sports and the joy of being active outdoors in winter. For many, it's a unique opportunity to become familiar with a sport that is emblematic of our culture, in a safe and supportive environment.

Introduction to ball hockey

Play as a team, one pass at a time

Offered to 3rd and 4th grade students, our ball hockey program transforms our Bleu Blanc Bouge surfaces into lively play spaces where children learn the basics of the sport in a dynamic, fun and accessible environment. They develop teamwork, agility and game sense while enjoying the benefits of being active.

Thanks to the support of Sun Life, the program is now offered in fifteen communities across Quebec. Fall, winter and spring sessions allow hundreds of children to be introduced to ball hockey throughout the school year while building the confidence and physical skills they need to lead an active life.

Each session includes a health module that introduces a new theme such as nutrition, sleep, relaxation or physical activity.

Participants receive an activity booklet that helps them continue learning in the classroom and strengthen their well being one step at a time.

4,125+

Since 2016, more than four thousand one hundred twenty five students have learned how to control the ball, make passes, outmaneuver opponents and score goals through the program.

Summer is the time to play!

Our introduction to ball hockey program is also offered during the summer at day camps located near our Bleu Blanc Bouge rinks. Over a six-week period, our coaches teach participating children the basics of ball hockey. This gives youngsters the opportunity to discover new ways to be active and an additional sports facility available in their neighbourhood, where they can have fun year-round.
