The Foundation’s 50/50 raffles return for the 2026-27 season

The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation 50/50 kicks off a new season with more ways to play, more chances to win and an all-new subscription option
MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation 50/50 raffles are back for the 2026-27 season, with several new features giving fans even more ways to play and win big while supporting the cause.
As the Foundation’s largest fundraising initiative, the 50/50 lottery provides essential funding to support its mission and its work with youth. Proceeds are invested in its Bleu Blanc Bouge program, which supports the construction of refrigerated outdoor community rinks and introduces children to sports such as skating and ball hockey. Two new Bleu Blanc Bouge rinks are currently under construction in Sorel-Tracy and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield and are set to open this winter. Since the first rink opened in 2009, more than 1.7 million children and families have used the Foundation’s Bleu Blanc Bouge rinks.
Season-Opening Raffle
To kick off the new season, the Foundation launched its Season-Opening Raffle in September, combining all tickets sold from the first preseason game through the home opener. Sales from the exhibition games and the first regular-season game at the Bell Centre will be pooled into one giant jackpot. The pot has already surpassed $200,000 and will continue to grow until the winning number is drawn on October 6 at 10:00 p.m. Tickets are still available online at 5050.canadiens.com until the end of tonight's game. Participants must be 18 years of age or older and physically located in Quebec at the time of purchase. Fans who purchase their tickets before 4:00 p.m. on October 6 will also be entered to win a $10,000 early-bird prize, while remaining eligible to win the grand cash prize.
Mid-Season Mega Raffle
In addition to the regular draws held at every Canadiens home game, fans can also participate in the Mid-Season Mega Raffle, available as an add-on with the purchase of standard 50/50 ticket purchases. All entries purchased for the Mega Raffle through December 29, 2026, will be pooled into a single jackpot. Launched with a starting amount of $500,000, the jackpot guarantees the winner a take-home prize of at least $250,000. Once that threshold is reached, the jackpot will continue to grow until the draw closes.
Subscriptions
Another new feature for the 2026-27 season: participants who wish to can now subscribe to the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation 50/50 raffles to have their entries automatically purchased each time a new raffle opens. Subscribers are thereby eligible for each draw’s early bird prizes and jackpots, all with a single sign-up. Subscription packages also offer even more chances to win. To register, participants simply select the subscription option when making a purchase. Subscriptions are available exclusively online and can be cancelled at any time. About the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation
The Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation is a non-profit organization that encourages physical activity and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle among underprivileged youth aged 4 to 17 years old. Since its inception in 2000, the Foundation has invested over $57.6 million in the community. The Foundation fulfills its mandate in two ways: first, through a unique flagship project—the Bleu Blanc Bouge program—which consists of building and activating community refrigerated and multisport rinks; secondly, by providing financial support to more than 1,000 charitable endeavors, working for the well-being of the most vulnerable children across the province of Quebec, whose projects and programs enable children to adopt healthy lifestyles by being more active.
