Children learned to run, throw, and jump so they can stay active for life!

The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation acts as a catalyst for the Champions for Life after school program, investing seventy five thousand dollars during the 2025 to 2026 year to bring physical literacy workshops to underserved schools across the province. This ready to use program, designed for children aged four to eight, helps build essential motor skills through games and playful activities in daycare settings.

Over twenty sessions, children discover a wide range of movements such as running, throwing, and jumping, helping them gain confidence and improve their coordination while having fun.

By building their physical literacy, children develop the skills they need to stay active and healthy throughout their lives. The program helps them reach their full potential by giving them a strong foundation for success in their hobbies, the sports they choose, and everyday life. Through demonstrations, hands-on practice, and fun challenges, every participant discovers the joy of moving and the benefits of an active lifestyle.
