Alex Kovalev has talent, lots of it, and he has a big heart. The Montreal Canadiens forward made a commitment to the Montreal Community and the Canadiens Children's Foundation by providing a private suite to allow sick and underprivileged children to attend Canadiens games and enjoy an unforgettable experience at the Bell Centre. His wife Eugenia regularly visits their guests in the suite. Team mascot Youppi! is also a regular visitor to the suite. In 2006-07, over 300 kids accepted Kovalev's invitation to come and cheer on the team.
For the most part we work closely with hospitals and community centres to make arrangements for children to come to Alex's suite.
A request in writing must be sent to the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation either by fax at (514) 925-2144 or by mail at 1260 De La Gauchetière St. West, Montreal, QC, H3B 5E8. Here is how to proceed:
For charity organizations
- Use official letterhead
- Provide a short description of the mission, the clientele and make sure to indicate the charity organization registration number
- Information on how you can be reached
Individual requests
- Indicate the child's situation
- In the case of a health trouble, please indicate the name of the hospital and the attending physician
NOTES
For individual requests, please note that the invitation for a child provides access for two persons only.
Invitations are made based on availability only.
Within 30 business days following reception of your request the Foundation will inform you on the admissibility of your request.
